Description
This set of designs was made for the Strange and Unusual. I generally like to draw strange things and thought this would be a good place to show case all of those types of drawings. I think we can all find the Strange and Usual in our daily lives.
01
The name of this piece is call For the Witches. It was designed for Inktober of last year. The prompt was scalloped and I wanted to design a space with scalloped edges and a grittiness to it. What would you see if you looked through the window of a place you were not supposed to look? That's what I wanted to achieve. This was designed in Procreate with different brushes.
02
Dead Wolves was designed for Inktober of last year. The prompt was scurry. I wanted something out of the ordinary. That if someone was dragging or moving a skull with fangs down across the ground what noise would it make? I wanted someone to look at this piece and not see the prompt but a whole story inside of it.
03
The Ghoul was a design I did for a tarot card. It's based off the band Ghost and I wanted something simple but also really out there that would match the bands aesthetic. It was a labor of love to do the designs but it turned out amazing in the end. My idea is if I wanted to print it out the red would be in red foil.
04
The Secrets We Keep was apart of a couple designs I did for Women's history month. I wanted something interesting and out there. Again the duality between purity standards yet societal standards always fascinate me. I wanted to have the duality of both wrapped in one. The love for ones self yet the idea that if we do, as women, we are told we are to vain and vapid.

What We See In the Screams was a design made based off of something I thought of when reading a horror book. The idea that there are things we don't know about and that what if something screamed back when we screamed. It was also a look inside my own mind when struggling with mental illness and those that I know. Often times we are the ones that tend to hear the screams screaming back.

Silenced was another design I made for Women's History Month. It was something I thought about, all the time sI was silenced or someone I knew was silenced for something as simple as not agreeing or something more harsher like violence towards them. I left this uncolored and unfinshed as another step towards being 'silenced' in a way. It feels wrong to finish it so I won't.
